  • Eliminating stock oil cooler?

Is there a kit that would eliminate the stock oil cooler for the RB25?
Planning to run a Setrab oil cooler up front and relocating the oil filter.

Did a quick search and found the Greddy/Grex thing, but its not at all what I'm looking for.

    Thanks

I think you can use the mount from GTS (RB20DET) with new gasket from Nissan, or run the sandwich plate off the shortblock, which is done on RB26 when removing stock coolant to oil oilcooler setup.

For example on RB26 (post no 36) -

For remote setup, can use Grex / Greddy remote setup and use a inline thermostat (Mocal, Greedy, etc sell inline thermostat's), as shown on their website -

Or Greedy sell a remote oilfilter sandwich plate setup that has thermostat in remote sandwich plate (Type-I sandwich plate), as shown in these links below -

You can buy Sandwich plates separately, as shown in above link at bottom (have to know part number). If you search with part number with Google, should get a photo of the product or link to photo of product.

      Closeup of setup -

Note: Use the same brand fittings they use (Earl's? for Greedy sandwich plates, which is mentioned on their website somewhere) and Setrab fittings on oilcooler core. Always use fittings that manufacturer use, as it prevents oil leaks from fittings.
