  • are these specs right?

Did you mean R32 or R33? In reality only the HCR32 (R32 GTST) is referred to as a GTS-T. The ECR33 is called a GTS25T, although some people still call it a GTST, hence the confusion here.

    R32 GTSt
    RB20DET (1998cc)
    160kw @ 6400rpm
    263nm @ 3200rpm
    1260kg (1320kg for later models)
    0-100km/h 6.49s
    400m (1/4mile) 14.63s

    R33 GTS25t
    RB25DET (2498cc)
    187kw @ 6400rpm
    295nm @ 4800rpm
    1360-70kg
    0-100km/h 6.18s
    400m 14.39s

i dont think the r33 is that much heavier, not enough to hold that 25 back

sweet mines 50kg lighter and less drag
why do so many ppl say the rb20det is better then
everything i read states rb25det is more reliable smoother more powerful
and alot of r32 drivers swap to rb25 anyways
so whats all the hype about r32 look boxy and honda preludish
r33 stock dont look great but thats simple to fix
but it feels so solid and well build way better then anything domestic 2000+

R33 weight is correct. I weighed my completely stock GTS25T on a set of 4-wheel racing scales and it came out at 3049lbs with a full tank. Horrible weight distribution, though - lot of work needed in that area (the front area, that is).

because the 20's had years of R&D whereas the 25 didn't get that great until the NEO series. it's pretty hard to kill a 20 and it's much cheaper than a 25.

R31, R32 had RB20DET engine. RB20DET-R was used in Group-A in UK, Australia, Japan in the 80's. Also raced at Nurburgring. RB20DET is a later version of S20 (6 cylinder, 2litre NA engine) from the legendary Hakosuka GTR that holds the most race wins for GTR (more than R32GTR). But has a turbo instead of being NA.

GTS-R RB20DET (RB20DET-R) can produce 440hp with simple boost up and has FMIC, equal length exhaust manifold, bigger turbo (Garrett T3/TO4E), etc as stock equipment. There's probably another 67hp available when running on E85 fuel, where igntion timing can be advanced more due to slower burning gas.

                  RB20DET-R (built 800 cars for Group-A Homologation) -

RB25DET has VVT which gives it an unfair advantage over RB20DET in terms of affecting hp, torque at low rpm's, higher rpm's. It's downfall is high compression which limits boost you can run (under 20psi to be reliable on pump gas). On E85, probably can push it further.

So your comparing a engine with VVT vs engine without VVT and not the best RB20DET engine available vs best RB25DET available.

They say GTS-R produced 210ps at factory. But cam specs, turbo, FMIC say it would have produced more than that.

RB25DET is like a mix between RB20DET, RB26DETT. Looks like RB20DET, but has similar capacity to RB26.

im so the best is not the word
                      :"LEDGENDARY":
is the word that comes to my mind when i think of rb26dett
i guess that r&d is cool but i saw what 20 yr or r&d did to volvo
and it looks the same by hy tim they got it right it was still wrong so they scraped it and went 6cyl 24v turbo instead of
finishing with the 5cyl 20v turbo and moved on.

but anyways im thinking of picking up something that i can mess around with
and winter drive... sorry but rear wheel winter driving is one of the few things i live for
and is the only positive thing i can think of to do with it .... midnight parking lot drifts!!!!!

before i get told how irresponsible i am ....
i used empty lots ////not daytime open school
i have an idea what im doing my dad was a rally racer so
power slides/proper figure eights is one of the first things he tought me
then sent me to driving school so he didn teach me to much... lol

anyways ill be looking into skylines for winter use for sale ..... cheap but running
