  • help, mysterious wire

so removing everything in my engine bay one thing at a time, i found this wire going from:

the green wire of the gauge cluster boost gauge--

going to the red wire of my head lights

i removed it for now, but can anyone tell me why an earth the guy before me did this?? is it some sort of little mod everyone does or something? not sure what it could possibly do

i was thinking that was the only possibility, just dont see how the boost gauge is involved.. unless its just a power source?

more than likely just for DRLs, the previous owner probably chose the wire for the boost gauge to splice into to act as the remote wire for the headlights to turn on
