Stock R32 RB20DET ECU can be modified with Nistune daughter board (replaces EPROM chip), so ECU can be retuned via using Consult cable, laptop or netbook, Nistune tuning software, wideband o2 sensor. The Consult cable plugs into consult plug that's under dash on drivers side, next to fuses. If you pull cover off to access fuses under dash on drivers side, you'll see a grey plug next to fuses. That's the Consult plug.

Just talk to your local Nistune dealer, which someone here can tell you who that is. They can install Nistune daughter board, tune ECU.

SAFC modifies signal from MAF, which makes ECU select a richer or leaner load cell on fuelmap and same advanced or retarded load cell on ignition map. It doesn't change anything on fuel, ignition maps or adjust startup tables. SAFC should only be used with basic podfilter, catback exhaust mods.

Can buy Nistune board, Nistune tuning software, cable from dealer / distributor and send stock ECU to them to fit Nistune. Or any TV repair or electronics specialist should be able to solder the socket, etc in. Anyone that can tune a PowerFC ECU can tune a Nistune modified stock ECU as PowerFC was based off stock ECU. But PowerFC didn't have knock control (knock maps, etc).

            Nistune dealers / distributors -

yes iam also facig the same problem. running super rich(12-9.5 from start up). Ive tried 4 blind tune chips and no avail. So iam going to get a nistune done. and hopefully that will fix my problem. There only almost $600.00usd from this guy.

also just to be safe i recommend you change your o2 sensor before getting one of these. i plan on doing the same just to be sure..

There's a few tables that at factory are way too rich for modified engine. They are the cause of startup problems. A trick is to crank engine longer to get pistons pumping more, suck more air into cylinders (it works). If really rich, press accelerator pedal a bit to crack open throttlebody, which allows more air into engine. In some cases it can be the IACV valve is sticky and needs cleaning (oil seal failure on turbo or excessive oil in blowby gas at higher boost levels can clog the valve).
