  • Ebay IC Piping

So I'm not planning on keeping the rb20 in my gtst for long, but long enough to warrant buying a front mount.

I've got the core, I just need the piping, ebay seems to have a lot but I'm new to ebay and was wondering if anybody has bought a certain kit before, any pros cons etc.

    Thanks!

I'm sure it'll be fine.. HDI makes piping kits, as well, autobahn 88 and Godspeed. All 3 are BASICALLY Ebay oriented.

Talk to BrianV8 - he can hook you up with a godspeed intercooler piping kit for a great price. Fitment is great, as my last kit from them supplied pipes/intercooler.
Check out the GTST Projects page and keep up to date with my build!

Hey man i have bought ic piping off ebay before and its fine. Its normally around 100 bucks for a universial set with all different bends. comes with clamps and couplers although sometimes the couplers are garbage the piping its self is fine. piping is universal and the expensive kits are no different in ebay imo. just keep in mind you have to cut your pieces to fit but thats never hard.

Just have to watch out for stuff coming off inside of cheap intercooler piping (cast???) and blocking intercooler, etc.

If making your own intake piping, still need to add a lip on ends of intakepiping, so intake piping joiners won't slip off.

godspeed universal kits are really good, used a kit on my car and one other. As far as flaring the ends, doesn't hurt but i didn't do it on my car never had a problem, T-bar clamps the kit comes with are awesome, Hit over 30 pounds of boost when my boost controller decided to fail (oops) and everything stayed together just fine.

One trick too if you dont' flare ends that i've done is sand the clamping surface with a heavy grit paper, makes the silicone bite really hard to the pipe.

Only thing i like to make sure when buying is you get kits with nice thick 2mm wall piping. Little extra durability
