  • Crank Seal/Camshaft Seal

So i am looking into changing timing belt, tensor pulley, idler puller, idler spring, and water pump myself. According to the service manual it seems pretty straight forward. Most kits come with all mentioned above, but i have found a kit that includes the crank seal and camshaft seal. Would this be worth doing at the same time while i have everything apart? Also how do i get to these seals and replace them?

    Thanks

Rear main, crank shaft seal should be done at minimum.

Cam seals dont typically seep and as far as i know, you need to remove the cams from the retainers to fit new seals, which isn't necessary to do the timing belt.

If you want to put in the extra work for reliability, then go for it! Otherwise, wait until it's required. Rear main is easy, just need to remove the transmission.
