  • Custom rb25/20 coil covers!!!

Well like I said in my build thread.....see below, I made a custom coil cover and might be making some more if people are interested.

Anyways I just made a new one I like it a lot more than my first one, so I'm thinking I will keep the second one for the rbambler. Below is some pics of the 2 I made, If anyone is interested in having one of there own, please reply to the thread and I will move forward with production. Please note building cars is my hobby and not my job so there may be some times were i cant just run out there and make pieces but i am able to do things like this and enjoy it. I like a quality piece and always enjoy picking up a piece and marveling at the craftsmanship involved and i strive to make all my bits this way. I am not certain on a price and it could vary as i am able to make these out of pretty much any alloy. The ones pictured are steel but stainless, aluminum, brass, titanium etc are all possible. Like i posted in my build thread I am open to any suggestions and would love some feedback, so if anyone wants something one off let me know and I can tell you if its possible or not. Anyway on with pics.

    the first one i made

the new one I centered the dimple dies over the coil packs.

    A comparison shot

    And lastly a weight comparison
    stock

the first one I made out of 16 gauge steel

the second one with dimple dies

Thats it for now, I have 3 more blanks cut so I will fool with those for some other prototype ideas. Let me know what you all think and if you have any other ideas. I would love to make some one off stuff or whatever anyone wants if I can make them! Also is this ok to post or can a moderator pm me and let me know what the procedure for something like this is? I've never done anything like this before.

I might be interested in one with 6 round holes. Where will the ignitor chip go?

I can drill 4 holes for the ignitor and you could use the stock tower, Or some other friends just relocated the ignitor. I have some of the dimpled holes ones left here still so let me know.

Hey guys pricing is as follows.

                plain cover $70 bucks

dimple die, step die, and bead rolls $75 bucks

louvers will be $85 bucks due to the extra time needed to lay them out and punch them

Buyer would also have to cover shipping costs. Thanks alot guys.

Oh those covers are looking pretty good. Are those swagelok fittings on the valve covers of that engine?

                          Thanks Matt,

Yes those are swagelok fittings, I tapped the covers to 3/8" NPT, I hate rubber hose so this way i can join the two together with stainless and then down to a catch can. I have a 2' braided stainless hose with swagelok ends on it so I will use that out of the t to the can.

I would make one, but I don't have a 26 head to test fit it too. I do have a 26 cover though and could try to match that I guess. It would just be nice to fit it on a complete head. Anyone in Edmonton area reading this who has a 26?

Ya i was wondering about doing that to, because i work with swagelok all day, and you will be surprised what you can get and do with them. Might just have to go ahead and try it with the valve covers myself.
