at idle mixture tends to be a bit lean, as the motor isn't under any load, it needs no additional fuel to cool it down. I'm not saying my theory about the overfueling is right, but it seems like it might be. An adjustable fpr is a good investment with an aftermarket fuel pump, especially if you plan to upgrade things further in the future as the ability to fine tune fuel pressure is a boon. I have a walbro 255 and I'm certain my off (and on for that matter) boost performance suffers, but at the same time I'm not leaning out in the higher rpm range until I can afford management. Honestly if you're not going for epic numbers, a nistune is also an affordable engine management solution.
