Priming oil system

Do you guys think its a good idea to pull the fuel pump fuse and letting car run out of fuel upon storage? Meaning there would b no fuel in the lines all winter, what I thinkin is no fuel in lines could gum them up.
Last year after storage, i pulled the fuse and must of had a tiny bit of fuel because it started to start when i started my priming procedure. No big deal, just made my heart pump.

And about the clutch, isnt the clutch only pushing on the flywheel when engaged? I dont know too much about clutches.

In the future just disconnect the ignitor, it takes 2 seconds and there will be no spark.
