Fuel pump electrical help

I have a Walbro pump installed. It was working great for 1 month.
now its cutting out.
I have bypassed the sending unit connectors. Still cuts out, Drop voltage is 7-8VDC. I disconnected the pump and got 10VDC after cranking.
Battery is 12.5

I understand this is a two stage system.

I need help locating a "relay" or whatever it could be.

Don't you need to split a wire from the harness and ground it?

I can't really help on this, I just vaguely remember something along those lines...

There is a large brown wire in the trunk harness going to the pump ground it straight off the pump
