  • Hawks HPS street + Regular rotors?

I am waiting for my hawks to come and I'm looking for some rotors. I can get some Brembo OE blanks for about $240 shipped, I was just wondering though if going with the "cheaper" brands from local parts store would be okay for daily driving and maybe, a big maybe, a couple light track sessions...

Hawk pads are very aggressive and will eat through stock rotors fairly quickly. I am an auto technician and I see stuff like that all the time, mainly on Subaru STi's. Hawk pads need heat in order to work properly, the hotter the better the braking. On the downside, they may scorch the stock rotors and turn them blue which makes them useless and you will need to replace them.

why would you? I know its only a GTS but still man... your rotor might last you 2-3 summers if not more, why would you want to save 30$ per disc and go ac delco. go brembo /end of discussion.
