  • Car feels 10 times slower, found this.

So I was driving to work today and I realize my cars exhaust seems 10 times louder and annoying, and it almost seems like an airleak. At work, I get out and see this:

Guess the pressure and rattling of my exhaust caused it to rust off.

Would this really cause my car to feel a lot slower however, getting it fixed tommorow either way?

Shouldn't make the car feel slower, probably something else man
Miss driving sooooo bad! Need to get a car on the road ASAP!

Check your cat while you're at it (since the exhaust will be coming off anyways). If it's stuffed the car would feel like it doesn't have any power.

**** seriously. Like 2 Days ago, my exhaust sounded completely normal and the car was quick. And then it got really loud and I noticed that

Also, the factory boost gauge wont go past 3/4 now, so the turbo isnt spooling up the whole way

Do you hear a lot of air escaping? My car wouldn't boost past 10psi and would get very loud when I tried to, turned out to be a loose clamp on one of the silicone hoses

Is it running on all cylinders? Coilpack issue mabey? bring your car to my house and I'll see if I can help you, toss me your phone number and we will try to figure it out.

Almost exactly what it sounds like! It sounds like a lot of air is just going somewhere, and yeah it wont boost all the way, and gets louder if you try.

I'd say check all your hoses and piping and make sure nothing's loose

I looked the car over today, couple of problems, a vacuum line split in half and after taking off the coil pack cover, one of the plugs for the coil packs wasn't connected to the coil pack itself, the engine runs smoother, but the wind noise is still very much noticeable, the fact that it sounds like your car shoots out tornados, I think its a seized clutch fan making that noise, I also suggested changing the spark plugs and coilpacks just in case, annnnnd getting new wiper blades lol

I work at canadian tire, wiper blades shouldn't be a problem

If the clutch fan is seized you shouldn't be able to turn it by hand when the car is shut off.

Fixed it, something was clogging up my exhaust, threw a garden hose in it, drove off, and the steam cleaned out everything. Car runs perfect now.

                              ^ What?????
You do realize moisture inside your exhaust is what rots your exhaust from the inside out.
