  • 350z brake upgrade?

hi all. So i am thinking of upgrading to a set of 350z brakes from a 06 350. i can get the 4 rotors and calipers for cheap and just wondering is there lots of modding to be done to make them fit my 92 gts?

Make sure you have wheels that will clear them........

Other then that, I think you'll need an adapter in order to bolt the calipers.

Not sure if the brake line will bolt on, but it's been done before, answer should
be out there, or there might be some one here that knows.

That would be a nice upgrade by the way, if the 350z had the track package.

the whole reason i want them is that the caliper seems skinnier then the stock gts ones. right now i need a 20mm spacer for my panasports to clear my brakes. i want go with a slimmer caliper so i can run a smaller spacer

Didn you just get a new set of wheels though? Why didn't you go a touch lower on offset, or was it not really an option?

they are really low offset. they are a 3 piece, so the face is flat and the lip is bigger. they are super rare so it was something i made work.

I'm a still new to all of this but me and a few buddies of mine originally replaced my brakes from an 05" 350 and pretty much bolted right in there was an adapter piece that my buddy made himself to correctly fit the rotor and the lines fit right in. Like I said though it wasn't all me so unfortunately I can't tell you for sure if it's going to fit the same on your car but I had it working fine until I bought a big brake kit.

ok so i am picking up the brakes from the z. i have been doing some research and what i have found is some say a adapter is needed.http://www.ebay.com/itm/240sx-12-75-...6c344c&vxp=mtr Some say you just need to drill the mounting holes to 14mm. i have the rotors and calipers. i am fine with just putting the calipers on or i can do the rotors too. All i am worried about right now is just the front. Any advice?

Well today i mounted up the brakes. The bracket wasnt needed. the brakes bolt straight up, just need to drill the caliper mounting holes out.
