Hey, just a random and probably stupid question. I'm putting in an AEM wideband in the spring and wondering if I should remove the stock narrowband in the O2 housing or leave the stock one alone and then just put the new wideband into the bung on my decat? I'm thinking decat right? And if you put it there, what's the best way to route the wire into the car?

Your going to want it in your down pipe. I don't think you'll get an accurate reading from the decaf location. I personally would put it a foot behind the o2 sensor and on a different angle. If you do it this way you can just follow the wiring harness of your car and hide the wire that way. This would be the best way in my mindMiss driving sooooo bad! Need to get a car on the road ASAP!

It's just the stocker I think, looks bigger than 2.5" though. I'm doing a bunch of work on the car and while I am on some what of a budget, most the big things like ecu and turbo are out of the way. With the down pipe, I only need about $1700 more in parts and all that is is a timing belt kit, yellow jackets, injectors, fuel pump, boost, oil and wideband gauges, a pod for them and the downpipe. I can do everything except for the timing belt so that saves on money right there, and then I'll take it to a local shop for a tune.

Does this work the same with a twin turbo down pipe?

welded mine in the decat pipe, ran the wiring out by the factory cat heat sensor, also welded a bung in for the heat sensor. I think there is a pick somewhere in my build thread. Anyway, 10 - 2 o'clock position, I think it should be no less the 18' away from the turbo's on the downstream side just for heat dissipation. read it somewhere, but can't remember where... Lol. But makes sense.

So I'm getting rid of my divorced dump pipe because my wastegate flap is bigger than stock and is fouling and sticking on the divider and causing mad boost creep. I am picking up a JJR bellmouth front/dump pipe and it has a bung for the narrowband a little bit after the turbo in the stock position or close to it anyway. I'll be running a haltech platinum pro for an ecu so with that would I be able to chuck the narrowband and just use the wideband in it's spot instead of having another bung welded in?

You can put the wideband either in the downpipe or a decat. My AEM UEGO is in my decat and when im on the dyno we use a second bung at the end of the downpipe for the dyno's wideband. The readings are almost identical. For permanent sensor, it should be at a downward 10deg angle from horizontal
