The 300zx have larger alternators z32 rated 180amps and z31 rated at 110amps whereas the ka24e is rated 80. I don't believe the KA24E directly bolts up to the lower mounting bracket without being drilled out but I may be thinking of the KA24DE.Double track drift, yo.

I looked into it when mine crapped. I believe the closest one that bolts up that is also an upgrade outputting 105amps is from a nissan quest. Keep in mind you will have to do some adjustment to the spacer and tensioner to make that work. If you google you will find write ups on how to do it.
What i did what just take mine to any place that rebuilds alternators and have them rebuild it good as new. If you want to go for high output the place that rebuilds them can have it sent off to have it rewound for an additional 20% output i believe i was told. Just depends how much you want to spend and how easy you want your life to be haha,Comment
