  • maf and gasket question

    h everyone!

Basically i will change my stock rb20 turbo for a rb25 turbo. my first question is , do i need to put liquid gasket on each side of the turbo to dump gasket. i bought a OEM gasket set but i heard that you need to put liquid gasket on it also...

second question: my whp goal is 275whp, will the stock maf will handle it? or should it be better to switch for a 300zx maf?

    Thanks!

Gasket only. Liquid gasket is used on waterpump to block, sump to block, front and rear of camcover gaskets, thermostat housing to block.

I would replace the bolts, nuts on back of turbo, as they are known to snap. Some spray lots of CRC before removing dumppipe nuts.

These are the boost up mods (268.2rwhp with stock turbo at 14.5psi), but can be applied to your car -

    Podfilter
    3" exhaust from turbo
FMIC (Stock GTR or similar size)
    Z32 MAF + Z32 MAF plug
    550cc injectors
255-300lph fuelpump (rewire wiring to fuelpump)
    Nistune inside stock ECU
    Electronic boost controller
    BOV
Single plate clutch (Nismo, Excedy, etc)
NGK PFR6A or PFR7A sparkplugs (let tuner choose sparkplugs to match ECU tune)

Also I would add a engine oilcooler.
