HELP ASAP PLZ rear diff shim

so i kinda need a part number or advice for rear shims for my diff for drifting. and i need this quick because i need to find the part number to order the part, which will take at least couple days, then i need to get them installed in my diff and so forth.

so i called nissan and asked for shims for a 91 300zx since its the same rear diff. its different then a gtr since i have a gtst in case you didnt know, and different then a 240sx.

so the person at the parts department at nissan said theirs 26 or 27 different sizes of shims.... SO PLZ HELP

any links or ideas im all ears people. and just what the parts person told me, the sizes go like 2.0,2.5,2.3,2.35 and so forth all the way to 2.6 o something. so thats all i have learned so far about what i need. and i want to get 2. will i order the 2 same size or staggered size...? if that makes sense.

hope someone can shed some light since drift school is april 21...

Don't think we can tell you what you need without measuring gap between gears. Also shim could have been changed in the past, so not using original shim thickness from factory. You need to remove rear diffhead cover (replace gasket) and check the clearances between gears. Then pull diffhead internals out, pull apart and add shim or shims to suit (manual shows you how to check clearances, choose correct thickness shim or shims to suit or talk to mechanic who can pull apart, check clearances and choose correct shims to suit). The shims adjust the backlash (gap) between gears and the rest is non servicable.

Aftermarket diffhead last's longer, can rebuild it, be 1.5 or 2 way with say Nismo Pro LSD.
