  • idle problem..

    ok. i have an fmic and all the piping to go along with it and also a 57 trim top mount turbo. so i put a hks ssqv on my car. ran atmospheric. car wont idle. now i thought if i ran a hose from my bov back into my intake pipe. it would idle. but i wont! any ideas?

    Where in the intake did you run it? What are you using for an ecu?

      Make sure it's not a copy BOV, as they are known to leak, cause problems. If put stock BOV, etc back and engine idles, then you have your answer. Some aftermarket BOV's need adjusting, as they don't work straight out of the box. Fitted a Synapse BOV on my car that worked straight out of the box, no adjustment necessary.

      If have to adjust BOV, adjust BOV until engine idles, close hood. Then drive car on boost and back off throttle to let BOV go off and if BOV doen't go off, lift hood, loosen towards soft setting on BOV (should be a sticker with soft, hard on top), then repeat until BOV is set correctly so engine doesn't stall, BOV goes off properly.
