Good luck finding a torque wrench that goes past 250, lol. That sounds extremely high. Axle nuts are only 140-180lbs and they are much thicker than a crank bolt. I'd say bump it to 180 and you should be fine. Do not use thread locker, put some clean oil on the threads.

Thanks, I'm just scared of breaking the bolt or stripping the thread. It's just when I installed my new water pump Im getting this screeching noise from the water pump belt, I thought maybe the crank shaft wasn't screwed in all the way. I dont know, I guess I'm just going to have to take it to the shop, for something so simple.

Yay I just had to do this and could not find a place with a big enough torque wrench... You could try renting one. I just used a 4 and a half foot breaker bar and gave it all I could. Haven't had a problem but I would recommend making sure your torque is right. You could rent a torque multiplier and then you wouldn't need such a massive wrench but would probably cost the same to rent anyway.

Most likely it's just a loose belt, pretty sure the crank is screwed in all the way

I think its screwed all the way too, I tightened all the belts and I get still steaming sounds from my water pump belt.
If loosened the water pump belt the sound goes away, tighten and it comes back. Any suggestions?

the belt could have a glaze on it or the pulley itself could be glazed, is the belt in good condition or is the ribs all cracked ? . could also try removing the belt and spinning the alternator and water pump to make sure there's no play or noise in the bearings
