  • Ecu tuning.

    Guys I need some help

Picked up a tuned ecu that has a EPROM chip. Its been tuned for exhaust. Etc etc. it was chipped and tuned by Anton. Anyone remember "Stinky_1??

What can I use to retune it if I want.

I am hoping to learn how to tune myself a bit on this before going to something better for my rb25.

Can I use niztune or what?

    Any help would be great...

OK. Well is there anyway for me to tune the chip that's in there now?

Or would it just be less of a headache to get a nistune chip in there and tune with that.

I'll elaborate, they usually don't reburn a EPROM chip that's got a tune on it. They burn a new EPROM chip with new tune.

You can buy EPROM emulator, EPROM chips, etc (burn a new EPROM chip), but it's cheaper to just buy Nistune (reflashable chip), Consult cable, tuning software, etc.

Nistune dealer (click on drop down menu and select Canada) -

the chip you got there is an UV ErasablePROM

you could reprogram it with the right hardware.

I use ElectricalyErasablePROM and a willem EEPROM programmer.

but nistune is SUCH a better investment.
