  • loose bolt near bottom of engine block??

My car was leaking coolant last friday (you can see where in pics by greenish/yellowish colour) near back of engine. While looking for the leak, I spotted this bolt by the engine block under the intake manifold that was really loose. So loose, that I actually pulled it out without having to turn it.

Can somebody with an rb20 tell me if the bolt is supposed to be like that? Or tightened down all the way? Or maybe not there at all?

    Thanks in advance!

Thats part of a hose clamp, probably fell off a hose higher up and thats where your leak is

yup part of a hose clamp, probably from the underside lower intake manifold where the coolant hoses run, that would be my guess

not the best picture but only one i can find at the moment:

you'll see 2 clamps that go on the rubber hose to connect the 2 steel lines
      hope this helps
Note: Turbos make torque and torque makes fun

        Thanks for the quick replies!

I'm thinking I should remove the starter from underneath and remove the intake manifold and replace all the old hoses.

But i'll probably fill up the rad, run car, get under it and pinpoint the leak first. fun times ahead lol

I think someone was working on the car and broke a clamp and never bother to find that bolt, it prob was replaced alredy.
