is the o2 sensor the same for rb20det and rb25det?

im wondering if the o2 sensor is the same on the r32 and the r33?

if i replace my stock one, im assuming my car may run a litle better? maybe a little better fuel economy?
i've got 50$ to spend at ams, dont really need anything but there is an r32 o2 sensor for 50$ and im wondeirng if it'll fit.

if not, anyone want a 50$ ams gift cert?

When o2 sensor gets lazy it makes ECU make engine slowly fluctuate from lean to rich and rich to lean. Basically engine can run rich too long thus make engine use more fuel and that affect's fuel economy. Can make engine run so rich, that it pops flames from exhaust (popping sound from exhaust).

On a GTR R33, R32 o2 sensors are different and need to be changed over if fit a retuned R33 GTR ECU to a R32 GTR. GTS probably would be the same.

But in saying that, it's listed as R32, R33 o2 sensor (stock o2 sensor is NGK/NTK brand), but I assume for series 1 R33 (Edit: it's for series 2 R33 as well, missed that part) -

I would put the $50 towards new o2 sensor (save up) if o2 sensor has done more than 40,000km-60,000km (when you are meant to check o2 sensor and replace if it's lazy). Most owners in Japan never replace it, so if you don't know if it has been replaced, replace it.

But if another brand fits a wider variety of engines, would I be correct in assuming that this one should fit the same applications?

There should be only 2x brands (at least 2x brands that I know of) that work on Skylines. Bosch (also used on German made cars), NGK/NTK o2 sensors. I would use NGK/NTK if not sure (stock ECU was designed to work with NGK/NTK o2 sensor). But as long as o2 sensor outputs 0-1V it shouldn't matter too much which brand o2 sensor you use. Also there are different types of Bosch o2 sensors, some are old designs, some new design's, narrowband (0-1V), wideband (0-5V), etc and it can become confusing really quick at what's best to use, unless you talk to someone that deals with them everyday.

The sensor in your post has a AMS logo, and can't see the brand or part number (once know part number, can search the web to find what brand, type of o2 sensor it is) etched onto o2 sensor itself. But going by cost (comparing to cheaper o2 sensors I've seen for sale) it could be a Bosch narrowband (0-1V and stock o2 sensor is a narrowband o2 sensor) o2 sensor with Nissan plug. That's a guess at best and without comparing them side by side.

NGK o2 sensor is same as driver side for 'merica LHD 300zxTT 120$ from napa and you get brand name. I'm running it in my s2 '33 right now

A tuner / sponsor? on here posted about the different types of o2 sensors and the accuaracy of them (0.1:1 for more expensive highend widebands as used on dyno to 0.6:1 for cheaper widebands that we can buy), etc, so was curious at why they were different. So I researched what he was talking about (he was correct) and learnt alot in the process about the different types of o2 sensors. Also picked up the lean, rich part from learning about how stock narrowband worked in Nistune tuning software that's used for tuning stock ECU on my car (uses voltage triggers in software that can be adjusted) and having o2 sensor fail on my car, etc.
