  • Tutorial on Installing Amplifier and Subwoofers in your ECR33 / VIDEO

Hey everyone. I thought I'd share with you guys how I installed my amplifier and subwoofer in my 1996 Skyline R33 GTS-T Series 2. Forgive me if this is not the best tutorial on how to do this, but I wanted to share, and when I did this install, I really couldn't find any pictures or videos on doing it. This video was made while I was doing the whole installation for the first time, so I kinda had to figure it out along the way, then record it. (Camera used: Canon T2i )

    My hardware:
Alpine MRP-M500 Mono-Block Amplifier ($185 from Visions with Warranty)
    Alpine 10" Type R DVC (SWR-1043D) ($180ish from Amazon.com)
Cheap JVC KD-R328 Single Din ($44!!! From Visions)
Cheap $40 sealed enclosure (From Amazon.com, modified to fit in my Mega Cab, but now placed in my R33)
Knu Konceptz 8 Gauge Amp Wiring Kit (I recommend another brand as I had some problems with this kit and its connectors.)

    Tools:
    Wire stripper/Crimper
    Wire Cutters
    Soldering iron/wire (or butt connectors)
    Heat shrink (if soldering)
    Electrical Tape
    Socket Wrench Set
Allen key set (for the fuse, you may get away the right sized square head screwdriver)
Assorted Screwdrivers (I used a Philips)
Cordless Drill (for screwing on your sub to your box, your amp to your box, and your box to your trunk)
1996 240sx Harness Adapter (If you are doing a deck install, this works perfect with the R33)
..And that's pretty much your basic set of tools for this job

So here it is, click this link to my YouTube video where I show you a tutorial on installing the amp and subs in my R33.

Hopefully you guys get something out of this video!

    Cheers
