  • R32gts rear axels

How much abuse can the stock axels put up with at the drag strip? Has anyone put slicks on and launched hard at a track? The car masks around 250whp. And info would be good.

With a torquey single turbocharged Nissan 4.5litre V8, dragslicks, they can snap on part that goes into hub on both sides of car -

This is the car they snapped on and it has enough torque to shut down dyno at only 7psi -

VH45 nissan R32 skyline dyno tune figure was 360kw at wheels before dyno kept shutting down at 5000rpm this was on 7psi,tune is good for 10psi,excuse the cra...

It gets alot of abuse at the dragstrip -

just beating million horsepower supra ,did 11.45 personal best so far

Have broken joints on both sides (hub side of shaft), joint near diffhead on propshaft, diffhead (single spinner) with mild tune RB20DET (intake, exhaust), street tyres, hard launches. I noticed it breaks in same place on S15 that has similar halfshaft's. I asked Nissan dealership afterwards and they said they don't like hard launches.

Locking up drivetrain against handbrake before launching can help to reduce drivetrain shock and help prevent this from happening.
