  • rb25det turbo problems???

Ok so im having problems with my rb25det im pretty sure its the turbo. I was driving normaly and i noticed that it was losing power so i got home checked all the bov/wastegate hoses and the pipes and it all seemd legit so the next morning i was about to go to work and it was having extream boost problems as soon as it got some boost it would sputter out and would lose power and barly wanted to move and the rps droped below 1k so i played with the ecu a bit turned the rpms up a bit higher and it idled perfect , not sure if the turbos pooched or what lol any help would be bomb thanks.

Check fuelpump, fuelfilter first (check fuel pressure), as could be lack of fuel + ECU compensating.

If they are ok, then check TPS is set on idle contact (ECU uses set voltage on R33 TPS, as they removed the contact pin that can bend over time, like found inside R32 TPS) as that can cause the drop below idle problem. When TPS is on idle contact, ECU should kick rpm up to prevent this drop below idle problem from happening.

I dont think its the fuel pump just because it feels like its missfireing and sputtering when boost kicks in
