  • Fuel lines and power????

i need some testimony from some guys with modded rb25's. anyone with 350whp-500whp with stock fuel lines???

iirc my stock fuel lines are 5/16th. now i know at a certian power level bigger lines mean more whp. i need to know the limits of stock fuel line size with add ons and bigger injectors etc.

when would the lines(from tank to engine) need to be upgraded??

i already have a wally, nismo fpr, and 650cc injectors. so what more "FUEL" mods are needed for 500whp???

under 500whp or even 600whp i wouldnt worry about the lines. that being said over 600whp i wouldnt run stock lines. some of us with more money than brains run -8 and -6 lines for 500awhp. id be more worried about your 650s

Most are running stock fuel hoses, stock fuel rail with bigger cc injectors up to just above 300rwkw x 1.341 = 400rwhp.

Hoses are upgraded when running higher amounts of fuel pressure that stock hoses can't handle (could cause leaks, engine bay fire). There should be a peak, continuous pressure rating for the hoses of that size in rubber (sometimes peak is mentioned on side of hose) and pressure it can take varies with temperature (hotter = lower pressure). It's the same for any hose that I know of.

At same time they upgrade to dual entry Sard or similar brand fuel rail over 536awhp+ on GTR's (2x smaller lph fuelpumps and can eliminate the stock damper FPR). Also fit surge tank in trunk, etc. The dual entry fuel rail can fit AN fittings, so can run braided hose.

I have stock lines, a bosch 044 fuel pump, sard fpr, dual entry fuel rail, awesome fuel pressure, 750 cc injectors and a rather low duty cycle
Youll be fine, 600 rwhp is where the issues arise

I would imagine that the GTR lines are bigger, but, I am at about 800fwhp with stock lines and a single entry rail. Granted its a Greddy rail and FPR with 1000cc injectors. If I go much higher I will be putting in the 1/2" fuel line I have at the ready.
