r32 cluster not working!!!

Recently bought a cluster from a fellow member but when i installed it in my r32, the rpm was messed. as in messed i mean it was at 1rpm before i even turned it on lol. Also when i signal or put the hazard on the right and hicas sign blinks only. k so i went forward and said the cluster f**ked so i order another right away, same one but with more km on it. plug it in and same thing happened but not the 1k rpm, it just happen to not work at all and the speedometer.
Can anyone help me out?

What year is your r32? Make sure the new cluster has the same circuit board as the old one. Check here for more details.

Take original speedo to speedo specialist and get them to test it on bench. That way you can eliminate dash as a cause.

If dash is ok, then check the wiring to dash (especially earths), including ECU plug is seated correctly and not bent which can cause problems. The rpm signal comes from CAS and goes through ECU, then to dash.

It could be as simple as one of the wires could be falling out of plugs to dash (it happens, even with MAF plug if pull on wiring when removing plugs or can be as simple as moving loom around can do it) or plugs are not seated correctly.

With Skylines it's best (if can do it yourself) to redo all wiring properly, especially with wiring into plugs, checking for bad solders in ECU's, MAF, behind dash on circuit board.

Edit: Probably is what is mentioned in link above with the different coloured circuit boards.
