for 300-400, upgrading internals, bigger turbo, bigger injectors, front mount, exhaust, stand alone ECU

looking at 5000-10000 depending on brand etc etc

you could buy my vg30 turbo, which with minimal mods can give you 250-300ish

Minimum you need to upgrade to forged pistons, longer oilpump drive + good oilpump like Tomei + Tomei oil restrictors, ACL bearings, baffled sump, Accusump, upgrade valvesprings (Tomei, Supertech, Kelford, etc) and rev limit to 7500rpm.

It's similar to what was done to this GT2 550hp RB20DET racecar engine (485rwhp which is limited by ignition system and running on E85 with ID 1000cc+ injectors, fuelpump to suit, Link G4 ECU, which is map sensor, engine oil cooler, FMIC, etc) -

hey man use my uneducated mistakes to learn from. built my rb20 cost thousands and was basic build. blew that up then bought r34 r25 making almost 300HP and double torque stock engine at 5psi... lol only cost 3000 after shipping and buying custom driveshaft. then sell rb20 to a 240sx junkie to cover some costs. wish I had a time machine... its what I would have done save time and money for more.

Amnash is correct, anything above 400hp at engine it's better to fit a RB25DET (easy hp).
