Possible break is solder behind connector (within sensor) in MAF, disconnecting/reconnecting intermittently.

I had a similar issue with my R32 GTR, wound up being the OEM fuel pump relay. My car would just randomly die in traffic (rather unnerving in the middle of an intersection) and the start up again. I hard wired my pump to constant 12v and bypassed the OEM relay and installed my own new relay. Been trouble free for almost a year now.

My car was doing this ended up being a poor connection at the positive battery terminal. Also it did it more when warm i would when it is running wiggle the battery terminals and connectors just after them and see if you can make it stall

Hardwire fuel pump first (eliminate it as a cause), check battery (as mentioned above), check that alternator is charging.

MAF / AFM can be checked on bench via multimeter, blowing on hotwire inside round part of MAF / AFM. Clean hotwire with CRC MAF cleaner.

R34 NEO engines are known for problems with CAS (front of camshaft to CAS joint wears due to loose cambelt), so check that.

Put car on a dyno and monitor fuel pressure (drop in fuel pressure can tell you that fuel pump is not providing enough fuel), datalog sensors (MAF, TPS) via Nistune tuning software (also check for sensor error codes).

If run fuel tank low, it may be causing fuel starvation problems (need a surge / collector tank in trunk / boot).
