  • PLEASE HELP, sooo close to running mint!

so my rb25det has been messing with me and I've spent so many hours and I'm so close to getting the sputter all the way gone, I've changed the fuel filter to a tt 300zx filter changed my plugs, have coils on the order even though mine appear to be fine, checked for boost leaks etc... max boost it hits is 10psi but I'm running super lean cause when i checked my plugs they were white and dangerously white, i did a compression test and 170-175psi in each and a leak down test and that was fine also.. i through some vp c111 fuel in to see if that might burn better and make the sputter go away but no luck, heres the catch.. when the car is cold it runs perfect like absolutely mint but as the car increases to regular running temperature the sputter starts to get worse.. any ideas would be greatly appreciated, car also has mines stage 1 ecu, 3" straight pipe to fart can type deal, fmic and a greedy bov if that helps..

New tune. It's either tune (as far as I know, stage 1 ECU is usually intake, exhaust mods) or fuel pump is failing and needs to be replaced and new fuel pump hardwired.

In rare cases it can be the FPR. Check fuel pressure to confirm.

The missing when warm is sometimes caused by gapped down sparkplugs or incorrect heat range.

are you running oem fuel pump. walbro 255 is only 99 bucks at speed factor. I would think its to do with your tune tho.

well I'm gonna give my injectors a cleaning and if that doesn't help I'm gonna change the fuel pump cause its the next cheapest thing as you said, but I'm just trying to figure out if i can even test my ecu or something... i might talk to danny and see if he can play with the tune or something

Is the intake air temp sensor ok?

In my experience, mines ECUs can be pretty shitty and you're 100% better off by getting rid of it. But you should rule out some other easy stuff first before replacing fuel pumps and ECUs at random

if your plugs are "dangerously white" could you could be looking at coolant deposits? Leaking a small amount of coolant through your intake manifold gasket or head gasket would cause your car to run like **** at OT and your plugs to get white.

If you are running really lean I would look at how your car calculates fuel... maf sensor, o2 sensor etc.. before replacing fuel components

well wouldn't a leak down test tell me if my head gasket was bad? I'm also not losing coolant.. and i cleaned my maf but i don't know how id test that or the air intake sensor..?

                      Photo of spark plugs???

How to read spark plugs -

With MAF you put on bench, use multimeter and see if it's within certain volt range when blow on MAF hotwire (procedure, voltage is in manual).

wounldn't a 7 heat range be a little cold for that set up? i run thoes plugs (bcpr7es) but im a little over 500 at the motor, that could be causing plugs to be white.
                        miss fire, is probably coilpacks
lean, like everyone said ditch that tune
