exhaust leak causing car to stall??

as my old post about race car dieing then going like the keys being turned off and on been told afm.or fuel pump ect but just bellow my exhaust mani fold just under oxy sensor where manifold connects to tail pipe the gasket had completly gone now cars is idling fine but havnt been able to get it out on track to test it could this have been the problem??

Might make engine run too lean and stall. Similar to lack of fuel when pull fuel pump fuse to clear fuel hoses, etc of fuel before working on fuel system.
