Also check fuel cap as well, as the seal can fail and get a fuel smell.

When I first bought my car I found out couple short EFI lines connecting the stock fuel rails are leaking...to some extent...
Then I start my project and did bunch of stuff and found out actually ALL THE MOTHERFUCKING LINES ARE LEAKING/CRACKING/SHITTING.
REPLACE THEM ALL. PERIOD.

I knew the GTS-T was a metal tank but I never though they would use 6 bolts to hold the pump lid in place......JESUS, even my 1970 Chevelle had a lock ring to hold down the sender/outlet lid.....shame on you Nissan.

Yup and they are easy to strip. Hence why I want to change to a gtr tank
And on top of it being metal. Gtst tanks are 55litres whereas gtr is 65litres.
Or is it 45gtst and 55gtr. Meh gtr has 10 litres more capacity

The pump is in a rack on the bottom of the tank, just like in my March. The pickup sock is attached to the pump with a long hose to the pass-through bib on the cap. The cap is nice an big to make it easier to work on stuff in the tank. As I was thinking about this last night I was amazed at the realisation that the lowely March got a much better GTR style fuel tank than the GTS-T. Again....for shame Nissan.
I think there might be a run on GTR tanks from GTR-Garage because of this thread......lol.

I've certainly looked into picking up a GTR tank before, but they are difficult to find used/cheap since most wrecked GTR's end up banging the gas tank some where.
As for the gasket replacement, it's all said and done. I did a quick 5K drive and didn't notice any hint of gasoline odor, so I have my hopes up. On monday I'll be going on a much longer cruise, so I'll update again then.Originally posted by victoriaGTRtire smoke makes my wiener tingle.
