think it must be a bearing of some sort just sounds like a rough turning idler or something any ideas?

yea tiny bit low, do the bearings or something go bad in them as mine is sounding ugly... it was a tiny low but i mean a tiny, not enough to make as much noise as it is.1989 Gts-T Sold

Powersteering pump pully bearing does fail on the front. Happened to my mates R32. It sounded like it was coming from the cambelt cover. Get a mechanics stethoscope and check just behind powersteering pump pully to confirm.Last edited by Skym; 06-11-2013, 01:24 PM.RESPONSE MONSTER
