  • Rb25 ecu recommendations..?

    Rb25det in r32
precision 5252e 59mm journal bearing turbo
    stock turbo manifold
external wastegate on 9 psi spring
circuit sports adustable fpr set at 48 psi
3" turbo back straight pipe exhaust
    screamer pipe
    FMIC
    Freddy front feed intake
I need this tuned but I'm not planning on doing injectors for a little while. Just need to get the car running proper AFR #'s to keep as a daily driver.
Right now it's pulling timing under boost and running a 9.6 afr at wide open throttle.
11 afr while cruising. Any recommendations? I don't want to cheap out with a safc but I don't think I need to go all out haltech quite yet (car needs to get me through school first ) I wish I could nistune but the 300zx ecu swap over doesn't sound like such a awesome idea after talking to the tuners.

nistune is the best for drivability, easy to install, learn and tune, in my opinion

PowerFC, Nistune are the lower budget options.

Apexi still sell PowerFC for RB25DET -

APEX Co. Ltd. was founded in 1992 on the principle that top-quality performance parts should be available to everyone at a reasonable price. APEXi quickly earned a worldwide reputation of being one of the leading manufacturers of automotive performance products.

It's currently on special for a good price.

I talked to autodream today and got a quote for under 800 on a z32 ecu nistuned. Think I'm going that way.. Big thanks to skym on educating me on the z32 method on many threads which is saving me about $1000 to get my car running properly.. Thanks man!

i sure hope that $800 includes a full tune of at least 2 -3 hours dyno time

Yanay, you're welcome. If he has the ECU already it might be around that much. I think chipping is around same cost including chip, socket, install, tuner fee, dyno rental fee. But I think Nistune recommend you run a Z32 AFM + Z32 AFM plug as well which might increase the cost. Avoid the knock off Z32 AFM's.

I will be running a q45 maf since I already have one, the break down on their pricing is
290- board for my existing z32 ecu
                    95- install board
                    300-2 hours on the dyno
                    100-re pin ecu for r32
