  • N60 maf

I know there's probably numerous amount of MAF posts on the forum, but when I used the search option and searched N60 it said there were none, when I searched MAF, same thing, and when I did N60 and Maf, that was a no go as well.

So, now I'm posting about it, and I hope someone can help me try to resolve the problem.

I've got a '91 Skyline GTS-T with an RB20DET in it. I've got an N60 MAF hooked up to it, haven't modified the wiring on it yet, just plug and played it, and the MAF isn't working. When I unplug the MAF it runs the same as when the MAF is plugged in. I've looked at several forums and they say if you change the wiring on it, it will work right. My question is whether or not the N60 is the right MAF for the car. If it isn't the right one, does anybody know which one is? Because if I have to redo the wiring for the MAF, or switch it around, then there must be one I can just plug into it and voila right?

    Any help is appreciated,
    Mark

    N60????

It means ECU can't see the MAF. ECU engages a revlimiter at around 2500rpm and uses a preset voltage value when MAF is not there, so engine can be started (stock ECU only feature).

J30 (VG30DE) uses the same MAF as R32 RB20DET (same table on stock ECU).

Sounds good. Is the J30 plug and play?

Also, upon further research it says J30's are for RB25 and J60's are plug and playable for the stock ecu on the RB20, does anybody know if this is true?

I see. Don't know, never tried it. Tuning software for stock ECU says J30 MAF is the same with MAF table on ECU side as HCR32 MAF, so it should work.

R33 RB25DET Series 1, R32 RB20DET MAF's are rated at around 300hp (same MAF), so MAF tables should be the same on ECU.

        There's pinout differences between Series 1 R33 RB25DET and Series 2 R33 RB25DET MAF's (plugs) -

If buy correct plug with MAF, just wire it in.
