  • How to remove crankshaft ?

    Hi,
I wonder how to remove the crankshaft.
I don't know if I need a special tool to remove the "gear" that drives the timing belt.

    thank you

I removed the front woodruff key then used 2x screw drivers(1 on either side) to slide it forward bits at a time.
Then oil pump comes off then remove the seal a the back of the motor that holds pilot bearing and rear main seal, then lastly remove crank cradle and lift up

^right on the money. The rust and grime are most likely built up in the face of the crank. Try soaking everything in WD40 and let it sit overnight. Then do the double screwdriver trick. BTW there is a second woodruff key under the sprocket... Don't break it
