The first thing you need to do is locate your factory ECU. This is found in the kick panel on the passenger side. Below is a picture of your factory Kick Panel

You then need to remove the fastner on the bottom of the kick panel as seen in the picture below.

You now need to use a 10mm socket to remove the wiring harness from the factory ECU and also to remove the ECU from the car. Look for the 10mm bolts attaching the ecu into the car. Here is a picture of the ECU. You can see the harness is attached with a 10mm bolt going all the way through the harness plug into the ECU plug. The harness comes out slowly by turning that bolt counter clockwise.
