though they are quite a bit cheaper then oem and work for 95% of all gtr power levels.

        Splitfire coils

If there's no advantage over stock, why not stay OEM lol. I know why I'm running splitfires but I won't argue why or list the advantages Hurray for advanced electrical knowledge. If mcfly is running splitfires, he found an advantage?
        No build thread.

          I purchased 6 brand new oem's

cost is way more then splitfires.
If you do a search on gtruk you will find a wealth of info about coils.

Now when you people get these things I want to see posts on how you found them. I have been thinking about a set but no one I have found has upgraded to them. They always came with Splitfires so they have nothing to compare them with. All I ever hear is "Oh they are great. No I have never tried the stock coils but Splitfires are better!"

I went from oem coils to splitfires to try stop running rich at high rpm. My problem turned out to be ECU related but I can feel a bit of a difference with the splitfires. The revs feel a bit smoother and the car feels just marginally quicker. If your oem coils are working fine I see no need to upgrade to splitfires. I think the biggest difference is the fact that we are comparing 15+yr old coils to brand new splitfires. Brand new oem coils vs brand new splitfires i bet you couldnt tell any difference.

My coils are still Ok but getting close. They are all 0.8-0.9. I want to smooth out my revs at really low RPM with almost no throttle. Not sure if i should be looking at MAF, Injectors, ECU or Coils. Just a little more bubbly then I would like it. I had it fix itself for one week once but then went back to usual. I do know my injectors are weeping a bit, not sure if that is anything.

                  Sorry for the OT :-P
