I've read plenty of time.. anything higher than 25% will damage the transmission? wouldn't you have anything less agressive like 10-15% just like the nismo unit?

Seems like I have the same kit, bought used, I'd like to know the brand too. CobrAA, the shift reduction can be harder on the synchros if you mash gears in, that's about it methinks.

I had the Nismo solid shift that claimed %15 reduction, didn't notice any improvement (shorter throw) took it out and ordered a C's knock off (no name) that looks identical to the unit above and it rocks! Much shorter throw then my wrx !! Makes driving a lot funner. Only change I made was I didn't use the Teflon spacer in the kit I machined one out of aluminum.

Awesome price Daryl !!! Guys get on this

The reduction is supposed to be from the lowered shifter position, meaning less throw for the same angle while keeping the same pivot height for gear selection.

Question I might as well ask in advance, are those no name short shifters physically shorter? I might want to buy an extension for mine 'cause I prefer to have the shifter close to the steering wheel.

Hope this clears up some questions, and I've added some more info to the original post.

                  1) The kit is a generic brand. Some other companies market it under their own brand, however the kit we sell is not rebranded with our name, therefore keeping costs lower.
                  2) This kit will not damage the transmission if used properly.

I drove frank's car once and I'M sur he has a nismo shifter kit which is 25% It felt weird. not sure if I could get used to this kit lol feedback?

can this kit be made with a 15% reduction instead of 30-40% ? and why not use metal bushing instead of plastic.

The Nismo Solid Shift may be a bit better for you. I have it in my car, it gives a bit shorter throw but mainly a more direct feel. I like it more than stock as stock can be sloppy. And the Solid shift is not as short as the Quick Shift.
