You guys forget this is the internet. And I get kicks out of everyone being so serious all the time. This site has turned into such a bitchfest lately it's unreal.

I googled "UFC is Gay" and that is the pic that popped up.

And thanks, but I'm not hiding in a closet

Lets just get this in the open. It's not the fighting part of MMA which I hate.. it's the big bandwagon everyone and their friends jump on, pretending to be "fighters"... wearing tap-out clothes and starting fights wherever they go. It's not the league that's a joke, it's 75% of the people that watch it and think they are uber hardcore ****.

I did JJ for about a month,it takes some time and practice to do well.
I too hate ppl that talk about how bad ass they are and how they can own everybody with there martial art's or otherwise,I have only one reply it's hard to tap somebody out when your laying on the mat with half your teeth a foot away.
Again this is the internet no body cares how much ppl love their sport of choice or how tuff they think they are lol.

We should have a big GTRC "so you think your tuff" event haha and see whats up!

I watch MMA for the entertainment of its historical/technique/development point of view.

Machida has always had knockout power, just that he's been fighting some fighters lately that make him use them more evidently: Silva, Evans, and soon Rua.

Aaron, good reply. This happens with any sports IMO, some fans take it over the edge from just liking the sport and following it well, and act like this hotshot they aren't. Like F1 fans with ALL F-1 related jackets/shirts/accessories, to your typical Calgary Flames fans.

Jon, how could you not get the doors?

Fight's tomorrow, I'll be watching from a local pub and have to ignore 85% of the fanbois... gonna be interesting.

                so tonight I learned something
edit: You can still win a fight, even though you lost...

                oh well
I was rooting for Machida anyway.

what? drank too much there Jon.

Machida's performance was prehaps not as spectacular because Shogun actually put up a fight unlike others. Interesting...

That was a terrible call. I was cheering for Machida anyways but that's a terrible way to end the fight. It maybe wouldn't have seemed so suspicious if it hadn't been a unannimous decision.

i must say i was pretty dissapointed with the judges call like that. Shogun had won atleast three rounds out of five.

I like Machida, but watching the fight, Shogun had it for sure.

However, to dethrone a champ IMO, you have to take it away from the champ. I liked how Machida dethroned Evans in summer. Shogun did show everyone how to neutralize Machida however. This match up hurt him badly (other than just the body). Now hopefully Machida will step up his game even more and not get too comfortable.

On a side note, I want to see Lesnar VS Cain now. His performance was amazing against the bigger Rothwell.
