    Hey guys,

Good work on the organization so far.

CMP would be a great place, but its a country-club type premium track and they need A LOT of $$$ upfront to make it happen. Somehow I don't see it will work unless you have everyone pay upfront and commit.

As for location, I appreciate the support of Trackwerks (I am on Redliners so I know them) but I think a GTRC sponsor shop helping out would be more appropriate. That will mean something in the GTA (Federal, Pur, RightDrive), which personally I think wil draw more cars as the GTA is loaded with them. We have always partnered with CSCS's events for past Skymeets and I stil think that is a better place to start.

Just my 2 cents. I can show up whereever and distribute whatever GTRC decals I have left

i'd have to disagree on doing it in GTA though

the point of a skymeet is to regroup as many skyline owners as possible
here you say that the GTA is loaded with them, true, based mostly on the fact that the GTA skyline owners population is very well represented here on GTRC

but you cannot forget that the montreal-quebec city area is also loaded, just much less represented on GTRC

i have at least 75 skyline owners from quebec in my contact list

my point beeing, the best place for a meet this size would be one which requires the least amount of effort from the highest number of people

which means, that like mentionned before, the best place is still Ottawa which is ''halfway'' between toronto and quebec city

don't worry, i'll get my fellow frenchies to come, i'm very active on the local french boards
and i know most of them and hyper lazy and will never drive down to toronto

i'll probly still come if its in toronto, but your cutting yourself off from alot of people

I'd like to see Ottawa. MUCH closer for me and I know there are a number of guys from the east coast that would like to go.
July 17th looks good at this point. Hopefully someone grabs the bull by the horns and gets this hammered out or a great idea is gonna fall on its face.

ya for Calabogie i can get it for roughly $5500CDN a day, last year they were going for $8000 a day. ya its pricey, but hella fun.

and as for vendor, Trackwerks is planning to become a sponsored Vendor within the month. just havent gotten around to it yet.

I will post a new thread about this meet when we can finalize a few things.

I would vote Ottawa as well, as much as I would like to go to Toronto again it's a little too far for a weekend drive for me.

                    • Being a new GTR owner and from Ottawa, it would be cool if it were here. Good time to make some good contacts and check out other rides.

                        • Guys spread out the word to others so this becomes a massive meet!Doesn't have to be a skyline only meet, sure it would be cool for the majority to be skylines but more the merrier!

                              • Variety is a good thing but..

Variety is always good but let's make sure to keep this focused on skylines, we will most definately need a big area to park, just by listening to others I'm sure they're will be alot of jdm cars and spectator cars showing up! so wherever the meet is let's make sure we section off skylines from the rest it will make for a much more enjoyable meet!

I know I will be coming with another skyline from pembroke and 2 jdms myself
Me and my RB .. we tight
