  • Naca hood vents

Just curious as too how many members are rolling around with naca air ducts on their hoods. They have really been growing on me and i am actually considering them as opposed to buying a whole new hood like a dmax vented hood. Any opinions are welcome.

    something like this:

I believe the R34 GTR adopted a NACA duct on the passenger side of the hood (as in the pic posted) to direct cooling air onto the rear turbo as it gets the least air circulation. The intent was to increase the life of the rear turbo. I could be wrong on this.

I'll see how good of a deal i can get on the vents while in the market for one and let you guys know. However due to my lack in sources, a lot of you other fellas might have better luck than i will. I would like to see a group buy for these naca vents in the near future =P.

Yes the car belongs to Austrian GTR, and here is his build (quite a bit of his mods were sourced by neweraparts):

I believe for a proper NACA design the edges of the cowel has to be sharp. That one is smooth.
