my first time i drove my car was great, i almost smashed into a median turning left cause i was doing a tighter turn due to driving LHD since the dawn of time, but after that first day(or hour actually) of driving it, it felt like i was driving a normal LHD car

I had TOPs. Since I live right by the Frasier Wharves I ended up taking a bus over there. Took an hour for Debbie to see me or whatever. Once I cleared her office I had to walk over to the 2nd tower to get my car released.
Turns out the controller there is a regular customer of mine. Hah!
So once I got the green light, I go into the yard to look for it. I can't find it.
I headed back to the tower and she asked someone on site to check the yards in the back as they may of moved it there. As we walked back to the entrance, lo and behold, it was RIGHT THERE! I walked past the car on the way to the tower :hit newb:
So I slung my bag and sweater off, opened the door and threw everything in the back seat while the guy was saying "chances are this thing isn't going to start up". I looked around for the key and found it in the armrest. I put the key in and it turned over with no effort. He nodded and said "good job" or something to the lines of that.
Now here's where it gets interesting. Pulling out of the yard.
I get out of the yard and the perspective is much different. I forgot to put the TOPs on so I pulled around to the back of Silvercity and just fawned at the car in amazement. I strapped the TOPs on and then took off.
Noticed the gas was at 'E' so I darted right to the gas station. Fluked out as to where the gas cap was and got a fill. Afterwards I turn onto #5 Road heading back home and, without effort, the car just wants to take off. Merging lanes got hard and my first left turn was a challenge. I wasn't going fast but I almost swerved into the rear of the semi I was trying to pass. This was just out of nervousness =p
Took me an hour or so to get the driving down.E-HR32 1990 Nissan Skyline GTS

i work as a delivery driver and while i was about 6 hours away from where my car was being delivered to at the time, i get a text from my dad telling me that he is on his way to get it. i was amped so i started flyin on my deliveries. by the time i got back to the lumber yard, it was time for lunch. i booked it home, checked out my car for 10 mins. didnt even get to hear it run as my dad was in the process of fitting a new battery in and saudering the new terminals on. went back to work, and when i came home, holy hell... i was AMPED! got it all good to go, got my brother, and we went for a spin. i was headin down a old highway when a SUV flies up on my ass end and tailgates for a while. so i popped it into nutral and coasted down to 60 KM/H. finaly he pulls out to pass me and i dropped it down to 2nd, put it to the mat, and left him so far behind. amazing. ever since then ive taken it pretty easy tho. and now being on storage insurance, she wont see the road till the snows gone.WHEN MY TURBO'S GET SPOOLED, YOUR GONNA GET SCHOOLED(O▫O)______(O▫O)Originally posted by SnowJapanese boys remind me of my Skyline

The week i bought my car i was working out of town 3 hours away. I luckily had a laptop and was able to pm and call the old owner. (GTRC member) So It's the end of november in ontario, there's already a good layer of snow covering the ground in some areas.
I arrange for my friend with an '08 f350 + 20ft car hauler to pick me up on the way through to Toronto. We drive for 8 hours and arrive at around 9pm. We get some supper then meet up with the seller. After a long walk through a secured parking garage we round the last corner and for the first time i lay eyes on a Skyline GTR. WOW! I look the car over buzz around the parking garage a bit then load it into the trailer.
Drive back to barrie, and stay at a relatives for the night, wake up and drive home. The next day i finally got to get the car out of first gear, drove it around the block, put it in the garage and the next day it snows 8 inches.:hit_head:
so for the 10 minutes i drove it all i can say is; wow i can't wait for spring.Tџяϊsмø

Laid up on my couch for a week due to dislocated ankle and broken arm. I was glad to here that my car showed up to say the least. My dad and I grabbed a car trailer and went and picked it up. Then tore it all apart and did all the regular maintenance. I managed to drive it up and down the street a bit with a cast on my throttle ankle and a cast on my shifting hand. It wasn't easy though.Jesse

Anyway, the car arrived by 18 wheeler when I was at work. I asked for a 30min leave and took off with my super driving me in the company car. The truck's driver parked at his house and dropped the GTR on his front lawn. When I got there I was extatic, but also a little worried it would be too much for me to handle. I had a bit of fuel with me so I put some in the tank (the damn thing was running on fumes since it was imported) and started her up. Off I went...nowhere. Forgot the handbrake, no stall but not used to checking the HB on my left side. Off I -really- went! Beautiful sunny day, and the AC was super cold.
I didn't have plates, insurance or registration so I took secondary roads back home. When I'd press a bit on the gas and would reach 100kph in residential areas without even noticing.
I end up going at my parents, putting it in the storage, and leaving it there to go back to work. Right then huge rain, out of nowhere. And I then remembered I had left the Sentra at work with windows wide open. It took a couple days to dry off.1992 BNR32 SKYLINE GTR

I picked up my car about 50 km out of town. Gas tank had the warning light on. Stopped across the street and put 10 bucks in (didn't want to fill it with 91 octane, I'd wait to get in the city and fill it with 94). Now with my old car and its 60L tank 10 bucks would move the dial almost a 1/4. As I'm driving the gauge didn't budge a bit. Started cursing thinking the gas gauge was broken.
So I fill it in town, gauge works fine and I find out these cars hold a shitloads of gas. Who's have thunk the GTR holds more gas than a friggin pickup truck.....

Well first drive home was interesting, no plates on the car about two hours from home and in the rain. First time I had driven a rhd car and was thrilled. Gave r' sheet all the way home and man did the car pull hard. Had a smile on my face then and still do. I love it!Miss driving sooooo bad! Need to get a car on the road ASAP!
