I own many forums and I suggest you start with like 5 different categories, rather than 30. It will get the forum moving better, and then you add categories as needed.

I completely agree, I went there and turned right around because of the sheer amount of sub forums... with like 3 users.

Well we are sitting at 21 members right now and it's just now coming towards the 3rd day. Slowly but surely people are coming out of the wood work.
