I don't think any car is too expensive to maintain long as you are able to fix some basic stuff on your own. And alot depends on how you drive it too. A car like GTR can be expensive if luck isn't on your side. But I know some guys who have their GTR's without any major engine damage and over 200,000 kms and still going. The way I look at it is if you want a GTR don't think about it too much. Just get it and deal with it or just dont even get one if your scared of it breaking down.

And respect your car and it will do the same for you most of the time.
Also anyone with no or very little knowladge about cars shouldn't buy any JDM vehicle unless he/she has a fat wallet. Because first the parts is a killer then the labour is the biggest. better of to stick with a super relaible honda and toyota for those people.

I am a Journeyman Truck/Trailer Mechanic and I know people with no knowladge about their rides pay heavy price of not knowing anything and that too when you have a 15+ years old car. So please stay away from these older cars if you're not ready to get your hands dirty. and buy something newer and save yourself time and money. You'll do a biggest mistake buying a GTR if you don't know anything about it.

as long as your not retarded, driving RHD is easy your just sitting on the other side of the trans. if you don't feel comfortable just slow down haha. gts are more fun then gtr's anyways:-P.

A gts-t was my first car, but I'd been driving with my N about a year before I got it. Took about 15 minutes to get used to it, I think it's because I'd only been driving for 2 years before hand (including L). My dad still has a bit of trouble driving my car, but he also rarely drives it. Got my full license in it no problem. Just take it easy and don't be an idiot and you'll be fine.
Looking for cheap parts? supguyex (Jon) is parting out his car. Good prices, good guy.

I agree, I have my L and it's common sense to not be an idiot.

And WHY are we replying to a thread from 11 months ago?

took me probably 45 minutes to be comfortable
                  within 2-3 days I was at 100%

it's honestly not a big deal.
