Another trusted and well-respected member on this board who has posted in this thread also had an engine build at TSS go wrong, that's enough for me to take my business elsewhere.
1990 Skyline GT-R - Jet Silver Metallic It'll run someday
i was gonna buy parts from TSS but it took months to get a reply and at that point i had already dealt with adam and darryl. hows that for service lol.
about civics... yes tons of fan boys buy them. and at least 75% of skyline owners are fan boys aswell who probly owned a honda at one time in their lives. the only differance is that a skyline has always been a legend. and i know a guy who has a civic with a N/A K20 swap that beats GTR's on a regular basis. i also beat hondas on a regular basis but there is a few friggin fast ones out there. but only in a straight line of course lol.
edit: did i just compare civics and skylines??? did i just defend hondas on a skyline forum?!? heck yes to both. but GTR>civic obviously lol
WHEN MY TURBO'S GET SPOOLED, YOUR GONNA GET SCHOOLED
i like hondas, and i think there is alot of unfair comparing when it comes to honda's vs car x. namely the fact that GT-R's get compared to civics for performance, output etc. The gt-r's direct competitor was the nsx, and if you were to compare the two, the nsx clearly holds it's own. a civic is the s13 sr20de honda, so the price isn't bad.
Plus for a car that was always meant to be an econobox, its truly amazing how fast some of them are.
but i agree with^, its only in a straight line, no civics can keep up with gt-rs in circuit.
I Personally would not take my car to TSS on recommendation of others...
However with that said, there has been alot of bad reports clouding the shop and i think they have a right to defend themselves, say what happened, and voice their own opinion...
I know from time to time it can be people themselves who break things and say ****...
Now i am not defending them, or am i saying they are good...i am just saying i am glad they are going to be giving feedback on several reports...and i am interested to see what they have to say about the problems surrounding them!!!

you sound like a typical civic owner, looking for attention by making useless rant threads about skylines. I bet the lugnuts on those skylines alone need more torque then what your engine puts out.....
If you don't have a skyline OR plan on getting one? um.. Thanks for your time?
FAIL.
** I bet my RB STEVE*( see avatar ) has more performance than your civic? hehehe
This just shows your childish behavior. Grow up and read the thread first before making a useless post. Your lugnut comment; I bet you just thought you where the king of the hill when you used that one. It's been used hundreds of times and further take away any credibility you might have had which to me was none to begin with.
no problem not using a gasket between turbo and manifold, most don't. If its a good manifold and turbo it would be flat and wouldn't need one.
I think there is something seriously wrong with not using a gasket. Since when has anything in the world been perfectly flat? Nissan put gaskets there for a reason and a good one at that. This goes for all other companies because I haven't ever seen a turbo to manifold without a gasket.

Everyone deserves to be heard.....

haha, wow. great! thanks so i did a gtr rebuild and am swapping a gts-t because i hate skylines? and my user name is poking fun of a friend since my drag civic took his car from a roll.my user name isnt "...fasterthanALLgtr's"
ive come to the conclusion, that your a complete moron. although you were correct about one thing, the civic only made 48 ft lbs with the stock 1.3 litre carburated motor that came stock.
and tss , come on now. what will contacting you do? these people already know to steer clear of you, thats why im working on these cars. if you dont like bad rep, put some effort and time into these jobs.
and jordan! leave my daily driver out of this. its more fun with the whole civic thing.

All shops get a bad rep on forums once in a while. if you do a little creative searching..(not that creative) its easy to see that many issues get blown out of proportion. If you dont want a certain shop to fix your car either do it yourself or take it somewhere else...but dont get mad if you dont do the research first and get burned. I wouldnt let a dentist give me a heart transplant just because he is a doctor. I have been burned in the past too by a shop that couldnt do what it was suppose to do...but guess what i got over it and learned something valuable...do research... Sorry for the rant but it seems every forum I visit now is just shop bashing...no real stories just bad mouthing and blaming.
