  • Suspension Rebuild

So for those that know i recently had a very nice friend of mine give me some zeal function suspension...

thats right GIVE them to me free of charge since they needed a rebuild...

now i was reluctant at first but after doing some ready research, decided to go along with the rebuild...

now rebuilding is NOT CHEAP but it is far cheaper then brand new suspension, and literally they are like brand new suspension after...

anyways i sent my zeals to endless USA in cali and they were rebuilt...and i decided i was going to show how worth it it is to send them away for an overhaul...

just look at the before and afters...

    before

    After

big difference...and in the end i am VERY HAPPY even though this was not as cheap as i thought it would be...also i got new springs rated for 12 and 10...

freaking stiff....i cant wait to install

      Nice,

I'd paint/seal the rusted leg on the rear strut (silver) if I were you.

The exterior looked beat, but looks like they replaced the parts with some newer pieces with fresh oil, shims and seals inside.

10/12 is not bad at all. actually quite on the soft side for "JDM" coilovers.

also, why are they different colors? just easier to get the replacement parts if you didn't care about the color difference?

ah I see. two of the old housings were reusable.

but it looks like they replaced the bushing? that's good.

                  LOL...

are these the ones you paid $1700usd to get rebuilt?

you do realize you pretty much just replaced most if not all of the original bits except for the swift springs right?

$1700usd can get you a brand new set of zeal function X, or function T's haha..

no it wasnt that much guys.

just cause someone says it dosen't mean they know.

and good luck trying to find some function X for under 2k USD. I've tried, they don't exist.

i luckily talked to some poeple and got free housing replacements...so they were not ridiculous...

they ended up costing 1200 CAD at my door step...
