So in Quebec they have 3000 RHD cars out of 70,000 RHD vehicles in the rest of Canada that’s what? 4% of the total RHD vehicles .... I’m sure that poses a massive danger to the public. Also how many RHD cars are there compared to LHD in Quebec? I’m not sure buts its probably 3000 to 800,000+ vehicles.
RHD vehicles are not for every one, if you are not 100% confidant driving one, you should not be behind the wheel of one. Left turn, right turn its all the same in any car, if you don’t position yourself or you car properly you will put others in danger.... and lets face we don’t buy these cars for the "safety" this would be a Volvo club if that was the case

The problem in quebec is that... even of the study cost xxx million dollars. People are gonna be mad for about a week and a half, then it will be forgotten and people will vote for the liberal party

that is the worst comment i have ever heard... so you are saying that i am automatically a bad driver since i am only 18 (i have had my license for 4.5 years and have never been in an at fault accident).
it's not all of us that are idiots its the ones who have something to prove... the ones who know they drive a nice car and don't need to show off are just as good, if not better drivers than you.

we should actually seriously do something about this.
as this thread clearly demonstrates, many of the 'stats' laid out for us could not possibly be true, and the way that the government (or whoever performed the study) has worded the 'facts' is clearly biased against RHD cars. Japan seems to be doing pretty ok with RHD and LHD. Why can't we? Are Canadians lacking of intelligence compared to Japan? Perhaps, perhaps not.
I'm willing to bet that if we start pointing out these deliberate and blatant lies that have been placed before us, the media will snap it up. No better story than government lying to the people... i mean it never happens right?

Are you comparing a 15 year old Japanese car to a brand new North American car? If you are I agree. But comparing our cars to another 15 year old car I doubt you'd see the difference. I agree with others that say it's the driver not the car. If one chooses to pass on the highway or make a left turn without a clear view you can't bame the car. I have trouble seeing around SUV's and trucks in my LHD Mazda 3. Not much different of a situation.

Yet that can happen to anyone who rushes.
I used to play alot of games competatively a few years back, usually racing games but I used to play Starcraft alot (I know I was a huge nerd in high school) and I always used to say that if you are good at what you do then you will do it right, if you are bad then you will take short cuts and complain, rush to fix it, and if you try your best then you won't be bad. The bottom line is DON'T BE AN IDIOT DRIVER! It's not hard at all.

I have been to several countries in the Caribbean where the roads are MUCH worse then ours they have no laws on LHD or RHD cars it's a 50 / 50 mix, and the rules of the road aren't even as near close to safe as ours, hell a few countries drinking and driving isn't allowed but the cops don't enforce it. And do people get into stupid accidents or rush around? No they don't because they aren't a buncha whiney people.

I'm down for it. We can't let the gov't get away with banning RHD cars, especially with the reasons they're giving there. They're all BS. It's like saying it was the bat's fault that a mugging victim got attacked. It's the driver, not the vehicle.

So, pride parade anyone? In Ontario, I say we drive three/four cars wide/however many lanes the 401 happens to be in that area, at EXACTLY 100 KM/H, from Toronto or wherever all the way to Ottawa. THERE'S a protest for ya! Get a nice wall of Skylines and other RHD cars going.
