  • What was your car before?

When you get your skyline it will sometimes have parts on it that tell you what it was before it came over here. Whether it was a daily driver with all stock, or 500WHP track car. Post here what you have found on your car and your theory on what it was before.

    The parts:

Tein coilovers (Tein electronic dampening system was taken out)
    Gram light wheels
    Front strut bar
    Rear strut bar taken out
Bolt holes indicating it had a roll cage
    HKS FMIC
Boost was at 10PSI even with the boost restrictor in, and taking it out it stays at 10PSI
Looks to be a racing resonator on my exhaust (taking out today)
    Cusco Rear Upper Control Arms

    The Theory:

This car seems like it was set up for track racing, and was probably thrown out when the 4th gear started to grind. It's kind of cool knowing my car has some real racing spirit.

Mine was bone stock with a torn to hell steering wheel, shifter and ebrake leather boots and it looks like someone sidestepped the **** out of the clutch and since the clutch went after driving the car for 4 days im pretty sure im right. also it used to have a cd changer and it has the n1 bodykit.

i have a hks timer too

my gtst had full roll cage, turbo back exhaust, (now only catback) some big sound system, some engine management stuff probably, because there are holes and sticky tape stuff all over those typical areas, different front bumper, aftermarket seats, some gauges and some other stuff

but it seems to run like a new car now, so i'm not complaining!

my first GTR had the following:
18" rims, roll cage, apexi AVC-R, tomei cams, tein coil overs, takeda tracion rods, momo steering wheel, pedals, grex shifter, front and rear strut bars, hks intakes, and thas about it.

i know it WAS a track car. pretty sure it hit the deck a few times too because when i took off the body kit, it was packed with grass and dirt and stones..LOL

my second GTR (the one i have now)... had the following mods:

nothing... LOL ... not a single modifcation... not even air intake, or exhaust... everything was stock. no tears in the seats or shifters, nothing.... i KNOW this car was a weekend cruiser.

Well based on what I discovered under my coil pack cover, maybe my Skyline was an Aracnid transport

Bone stock with all service records almost to 42k, purchased it at 48200k. I think it was a daily driver, very well kept except for paint fade and some interior fabric shrinkage. Did I spell that right? No surprises with this car, it has not caused me any grief.
