  • NEED HELP! Documentary on the safety of RHD on the Roads

Okay so I am a full time film student and I have a documentary film making class. We had to pitch ideas about what we would want to make doc's about. I chose the whole RHD and safety on the roads thing. And behold, my idea was chosen to be made by the class. ( along with other ideas )

Now heres the hitch. I need people to interview to appear in my doc. Could be import shop or just import car enthusiast. I have read all the articles written by ICBC, newspapers and such as well as the response from IVOAC. I will be sourcing a lot of my information from these but would always love more. Also maybe some B roll of RHD vehicles just driving or something? ( at a meet or something similar )

So would anyone be willing to be interviewed to help the fight for RHD? I have contacted ICBC to get their view on things but no answer back yet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also any advice/information/tips on how to go about this would be awesome.

    Thanks guys!

This sounds like an awesome concept. You can get views from people who own RHD's, and possibly from some who don't own them yet, like myself and many others here. Personal opinion from any view is always good for a documentary, and I'm kind of a fan of documentarys...

Count me in, My car isn't on the road at the moment, but I still have an opinion lol.

should send it to the news and air it on tv. we need to get the word out and gain more support for us. we don't want there to be even a slight chance that they start banning them like there are in Quebec

Make emphasis on the fact the cars are perfectly safe and that the person driving is the problem, if any.

Feel free to PM me if want any info or ideas

One idea, try to get the point across that cars from Canada do not have to get any safety inspections unless the owner moves provinces, where cars from Japan get inspected every 2 years by a very strict safety program, you can even include some of the north american rust buckets and POS cars rolling around and ask which one you would feel safer in

First copy is going to my teacher for grading. It is supposed to be a ten minute doc but i am toying with the idea of making one for school and a longer one afterwards. I can put it on youtube or dvd's or torrent it.

You can interview me for some difference in opinion since all these fan boys are lost in the allure of being "cool" with their unsafe Skylines.

So, where exactly do you stand on the '15 year rule'/RHD ban, mcfly?
You don't seem to be very objective to the possible rule change.
I assume you're not from Canada?
